Maya Ixil is a coffee cooperative of 205 farmers, primarily indigenous coffee growers, located in the Ixil Triangle of Guatemala’s northwestern highlands. Founded in 1998 by 28 farmers seeking fairer market access, the cooperative promotes agroecological practices to sustain their land and livelihoods.
